Fire compartmentation surveys
Compartmentation is how a building contains a fire, keeping it in one area long enough for people to get out. We check whether yours actually does its job.

How we help
What it is
An evaluation of how well your building is divided into fire-resisting sections: walls, floors, doors and the service penetrations that pass through them, all designed to contain fire and smoke and protect escape routes.
Why it matters
Compartmentation is a legal expectation under Article 17 of the Fire Safety Order and the Building Regulations. Unsealed penetrations, gaps and damaged fire-resisting construction let fire and smoke spread, undermining your whole fire strategy.
What we do
A thorough inspection of structural elements and penetrations, measured against British Standards and the Building Regulations, with defects photographed and located. Carried out by NEBOSH-qualified consultants.
What you receive
A prioritised, risk-rated action plan with marked-up floor plans and evacuation-strategy notes, so remedial work is targeted where it matters most.
